Denis Royer (left) was awarded the Medal of the City of Strasbourg in July 2017.
Denis Royer started to play Hockey when he was 13, in 1964, in the Association Sportive de Strasbourg.
In his view, Hockey is more than a sport, it is a frame of mind, based on collective spirit and conviviality. It is also a lot a good moments spent as a team. Unforgettable memories of tournaments, like in the Netherlands or in Salon de Provence (south of France). After he served as chairman for 22 years, marked by the integration to the JSK Sport Association, the creation of the Vendanges Tournament and the inauguration of the new pitch, Denis can enjoy in 2017 a well-deserved retirement, and becomes Honorary Chairman of the club.
